Troodos and Kykkas tours, Where nature meets with history. Enjoy a day trip from Paphos at 08.30am. The tour is run in either English or Russian. You will visit Panayia, Chrysoroyiatissa, Kykkos, Prodromos, Troodos, Omodos.You will be picked up from your hotel in Paphos to board a comfortable bus and relax to enjoy a day tour at Troodos Mountains. Your first stop is Chrysoroyiatissa Monastery, Paphos. Drive through the forest towards Kykkos to visit Kykkos Monastery, which is dedicated to the Virgin Mary or ‘Panagia,‘ the most lavish monastery in Cyprus. In short, distance is the Tomb of Makarios, the first president of the Republic Cyprus.
You will then be driven to a local village where you will have free time to relax and take a lunch. Your tour will continue to Mount Olympus stopping at a viewing point to admire the scenery and take deep breath followed by a short stop at Troodos Square where you will be able to taste some of local produce.
On your way back to Paphos you will visit Omodos Village, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in Cyprus famous for its wine tradition. There we visit the Monastery of the Holy Cross which houses a piece of the Holy Rope which bound Christ’s hands to the Cross. You will then be returned to your hotel.
