A day tour in northern province of Padua among beautiful Palladian Villas, Medieval walls, Roman roads and with the experience to discover 'Grana Padano' cheese production.
Leaving Padua, the tour starts going towards the North of Italy and the first stop will be at Villa Contarini, located in the town of Piazzola sul Brenta. Villa Contarini and its beautiful surrounding area is one of the best expression of the Veneto Villas.
Going on, the tour will then stop in a Caseificio (cheese factory), where you will be walking trough the production and the different ageing stages of the 'Grana Padano', one of the most famous Italian cheese. You will have the possibility to purchase some should you wish.
The tour continues towards the town of Cittadella, whose city walls can be walked around and here you can have an optional stop for lunch. After Cittadella, the tour continues to Graticolato Romano (division of area in Roman age) where you have the possibility to admire other two Palladian Villas, before coming back to Padua along the river Brenta where you will see a natural reserve.
