Join us on this three destination trip. First stop is the village of Orašac. Orašac is small village in southern Croatia with many churches and houses built close to each other as means of protection from Neretva pirates. Second destination is the town of Ston, a major fort of the Ragusan Republic, whose defensive walls were, with its circumference of 5 km, regarded as a notable feat of medieval architecture. Nowadays, Ston is renowned for its delicious oysters and mussels as well as the old salt ponds where the salt is still gathered in the old fashioned way. Our last stop is the Arboretum in Trsteno with a 15th century summer residence of the Dubrovnik patrician family Gucetić-Gozze surrounded by a beautiful Renaissance garden with the highlight of two giant 500-year old plane trees.
