Your tour starts with pickup from your Cape Tribulation hotel or a central location in town. Travel in a comfortable minivan shuttle to a swathe of privately owned land in the Daintree Rainforest to meet your guide.
Receive a safety briefing and flashlight before you set off with your guide into the ancient rain forest. Throughout your tour, your guide shares extensive knowledge of the animal and plant life in this biologically rich forest, which has remained much the same for more than 120 million years. With the trained eyes of your guide, you get to see much more than you would on your own. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
Each night the cast of critters varies, however spiders, sleeping birds and rainforest dragons make frequent appearances. You may also see amethystine pythons, Australia’s largest snake, slithering around. (They're hard to miss at 27-feet-long).
Your guide may ask you to switch off your flashlight in order to see the blinking light of fireflies and glowing lichens.
At the end of your tour, you are returned to your Cape Tribulation hotel.
Please note: Expect to walk along natural trails over uneven ground; a moderate level of fitness and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The tour is suitable for children eight years old and up.
