In this tour you will visit Curitiba´s main sightseeing places in the morning, you will have a typical lunch in Morretes and return by train to Curitiba in the scenic railroad.During the morning we will visit the main touristic points in Curitiba:
Panoramic tour in downtown: Santos Andrade Square (Guaíra Theater, UFPR historical building), Tiradentes Square, Cathedral, Rua das Flores (pedestrian area), Boca Maldita, Rua 24 Horas, Paço da Liberdade (former city hall), 19 December Square, Passeio Público (Curitiba´s first park) and Largo da Ordem (old town).
Oscar Niemeyer Museum: Its nickname is “Eye Museum” due to its modern architecture in eye-shape (External visit).
Pope´s Woods: The Polish immigration memorial has wooden houses built at the end of the 19th century that are today an open air museum, besides native woods (houses close on Monday)
Wire Opera House: The beautiful glass and steel theatre was built in a former quarry on a lake
Tanguá Park: With beautiful gardens and an artificial waterfall
Botanical Garden: the beautiful garden is one of Curitiba´s postcards
Transfer to Morretes through Estrada da Graciosa, an old road that linked the coast to Curitiba before the railroad was built.
Today it is a touristic place with many curves that enchants the visitors with its landscapes.
Visit to Morretes, a beautiful small town.
Morretes was a very important place by the end of the 19th century and had 3 river ports to export the mate-tea and sugar-cane produced in the region.
Delicious lunch where you will taste barreado, a typical meal of the coast of Paraná: “Barreado”: boiled beef cooked in a closed casket for many hours. It will be served with fish and seafood.
At 3pm you will ride the train back to Curitiba. It is one of the most impressive train rides of the world and leads through luscious tropical vegetation of the Atlantic Rain Forest, numerous breathtaking bridges and tights.
Departure at 8am and return about 6pm.
Wagon tourist: Wagon of the intermediary class with board service with soft drinks and snacks and local guide (Portuguese speaking). From 4 persons on our guide will be on board with our clients.
