A day tour of some major cultural sites in Beijing, you will visit the Capital Museum and Prince Gong's Mansion, experience the Rickshaw tour, Hutong Courtyard and Family Visit, Drum Tower and the Tea House.Your tour guide will pick you up around 7:30am to 8:30am.
Your tour starts at the Capital Museum, one of the best places to acquaint yourself with the history and culture of this capital city. The museum is divided into two halls, each with six floors of exhibits. You could learn about ancient Beijing through its hundreds of years of folk custom and culture, and furthermore have a glance of the history of Peking Man of Upper Age by the site model at Zhoukoudian which is only at a distance of near one hundred kilometers from Beijing. You will surely enjoy this study tour by visiting those extraordinary collections of exhibits in the form of ancient artifacts, statues, jade and bronze vessels etc.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit the magnificent gardens at the Prince Gong's Mansion, Beijing's largest and the best-preserved royal mansion of the Qing Dynasty.
This tour will be highlighted by taking Hutong rickshaw, also known as a pedicab to visit the streets of old Beijing. This portion of the tour allows you to get a taste of life in the city as your driver pedals through the old and narrow streets, Hutongs. It includes a stop to visit the home of a Chinese family and climb up to the top of an old drum tower for a bird eye view of the area.
Around 5pm, your tour guide will drop you off at your hotel in Beijing.
