One such experience is with a local sommelier in a seaside village cheese shop. You'll pair local cheese and charcuterie with wine all while you learn more about the wines of this region. Vancouver Island's wine region is catching on! This 6-hour wine tour begins with pickup from any downtown Victoria hotels with reservations. You'll be on the road by 11am. Please be ready 15 minutes prior. Tours depart Wednesday to Sundays all seasons except January.

Your tour includes 3 local wineries, each offering a minimum of 5 to 7 wines or sometimes even 9. The wineries are family-owned and in most cases, you'll meet the owners and family. Due to mother nature, every vintage is unique and vintners cannot promise to make the wine you love today the same ever again. These wineries grow their own grapes on the same property they live, work and play. With that in mind, the Cowichan Valley wine region uses no pesticides or insecticides.
You'll also stop at a local seaside village and explore the quaint shops before you head out to your next winery. The village shop serves local delights, such as cheese and charcuterie. Learn why you swirl wine and more, while you enjoy and relax in this wonderful seaside shop. Warning: it will be hard to leave! Afterwards, visit the organic bakery, which pairs the most wonderful local breads, cheeses, and wine.
