In the morning you will go out on a lateen rigged boat and if you like you can help to sail it by hoisting the sails, taking the helm and enjoying life on board. You will discover the coast of Palamós, Calella de Palafrugell and the Formigues isles, dropping anchor in Cala Castell to go for a swim if the weather is good or simply to admire the beauty of the Costa Brava while you have some snacks.
In the afternoon you will discover the secrets and details of the traditional fishing of the famous Palamós prawns by visiting one of the boats operating in the port of this fishing town. You will meet the boat’s skipper who will tell you about what they do every day, where and when they fish and the process for preserving and packaging the prawns. You will find out about the fishing process through a 3D video which will make it seem as if you are experiencing the process at firsthand.
Once the visit is over, you will get 300 g of freshly caught and much prized Palamós prawns per two people, and they will be cooked for you in a tavern in the port so you can enjoy them along with a glass of cava or wine.
