This tour takes you to visit some of the most iconic architectural works in Mexico City, located in Condesa, Anzures, Polanco and Santa Fe districts. You'll be able to experience some of the most prestigious Mexican architects work, and enjoy new perspectives, materials, colors, textures and styles from your knowledgeable guide.Your tour starts at Camino Real, which was a turning point for the integration of art and architecture. Located in Anzures and part of the 1968 Olympics, it contains an interesting showcase of styles, from Op to Pop art. If you prefer visiting Luis Barragan house it can be done on request (admission cost not included and two month booking in advance recommended, closed on Sundays).
Your tour then continues towards the newest areas in Mexico City, Santa Fe and Bosques which have attracted the most creative and innovative architects. Back in Polanco, you'll admire the superb museums Soumaya and Jumex. In that area you'll find fine restaurants, bars, art galleries, and shopping centers.
Finally, (time permitting) you'll head to Condesa neighborhood where you have a chance to relax in one of the nice bars or lounges. This area offers a mixture of Art Deco and contemporary projects.
