Enjoy the best of Italian classical music and opera in one of the most ancient and well-preserved historical building of the city: the Inferior Church of San Giovanni di Prè. Genova in Concerto - the soundtrack of your memorable holiday between sky and sea under the Lanterna.
This concert in Genova is a new tourist and cultural project created to offer a new product that puts together the excellence of Italian classical music and opera and an important part of the historical and artistic heritage of the city of Genova: a new entertainment activity, mostly addressed to tourists visiting the city (and surroundings), that will take place in the evening in the splendid and solemn Inferior Church of San Giovanni di Prè, pearl of the Genoese Romanesque style and symbol of the ancient Maritime Republic.
In this wonderful location, the program will lead the audience to a journey through time in the Italian classical music and opera, with 1-hour concert performed by the Virtuosi della Commenda, a young and skilled ensemble conducted by Maestro Emanuele Fresia, that will play the most famous melodies and pieces by the big Italian Composers such as Vivadi, Paganini, Donizetti, Puccini, Verdi and others.
To enrich the cultural offer of the 2016 concert season, Genova in Concerto scheduled a calendar of special events with the same location, format and fares but a different musical program and special guests! Please find here below the details:
