Of course, we’ll sprinkle in a bit of history, architecture and culture to round out a perfect afternoon.As you stroll through the streets of Uptown Columbus which is the city's central business district of Columbus. Your friendly tour guide will discuss various points of history and culture that shape our beautiful city. From recalling “The Battle of Columbus”, identifying locations of notable shops and restaurants from days gone by, and looking to the future with Columbus State University’s ever-expanding campus, you can expect to see many things and learn these facts and more about Columbus, GA.
Along the way you will stop at five tasting locations to sample some of Columbus Georgia’s delectable food. Drinks are provided in some locations, but you’re welcome to bring a bottled water, or purchase a drink at our meeting location. The tour route is mostly flat, with a few moderate inclines. It’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels. The scheduled tours will run, rain or shine. You can expect to walk approximately 2.5 miles during the 3-hour walking tour.
