This 8-hour private tour of Colombo City will take around some of the iconic temples and attractions, such as the Gangaramaya Temple, Galle Face Green, and Independence Square. You will also enjoy a Sri Lankan lunch at Rajabojun Grand Buffet and have an opportunity to do some shopping before ending your tour.Your tour starts with a pickup from your hotel at 9am. Your English-speaking driver will take you to the following attractions:
Kalaniya Rajamaha Viharaya Temple, one of the most revered temples for the Buddhists in and around Colombo. Is is said to have been made sacred during Lord Buddha's final visit to Sri Lanka. After, visit several other religious monuments, such as Parvathi Hindu Temple, St. Anthony's Church, Gangaramaya Temple, and the island temple of Seema Malaka.
Proceed to Apegama, a replica of the villages of old day Sri Lanka, and see the Parliament of Sri Lanka. Around 1pm, you will stop for lunch at Rajabojun Grand Buffet to enjoy a Sri Lankan meal.
After lunch, you will visit BMICH, the Bandaranayake Memorial Conference Hall, Independence Square, Lotus Pond Theater and Galle Face Green, an urban park that spans for five hectares along the Indian Ocean.
At around 2:30pm, you will be taken Romarfour Shopping Complex, Serene Center (for herbal products, gems and tea), and Odel Shopping complex so you can shop at leisure. At 5pm, you will be dropped back off to your hotel.
