Experience the beach culture along this 29-mile tour of the most scenic beaches and attractions along the north county coastline of San Diego.Departs from downtown and go through Point Loma, Rosecrans National Cemetary, and the 3rd fleet naval base, up to Cabrillo National Monument where we stop for 40-minutes to enjoy the incredible views, museum and lighthouse. We descend down to Sunset cliffs park, where we stop for a few minutes and continue on to Newport Ave in Ocean Beach famous for its Haight Ashbury, Hippie Vibe. The van goes through Mission Bay park, past Belmont park in Pacific Beach and stops at the boardwalk behind the Catamaran Hotel on Mission Bay. We walk along the boardwalk, past the marina through the Catamaran Hotel and cross the street to the Boardwalk on the Ocean. It's a 45 minute stop to lounge along the boardwalk exploring the shops, restaurants and bars and sip a cool beverage while watching the people go by.
Time to hit the freeway and get up to our northernmost beach ahead of the traffic, Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Volleyball, snacks, playground they have it all.
Next, you'll have the opportunity to nosh on a tasty lunch at one of the many restaurants in Encinitas. (not included in the price). Off to the meditation gardens at Swamis Temple. Then we descend the stairs down the cliff to the famous surf spot called Swamis.
After a brief stroll along the beach we get back in the Van past Cardiff state beach and the famous Kook statue on our way to Solana Beach. We cruise through the design district of Cedros and Fletcher Park cove down the coast to the Del Mar racetrack and the Victorian city of Del Mar. 20 minute stroll through the city and back on the bus through the magnificent coastline of Carmel Valley and up the cliffs into Torrey Pines. A stop at the Glider port to watch the parasailers soar off the cliffs of Torrey Pines. Driving past the University of California at San Diego and the Salk Institute we arrive at the Sea Caves of La Jolla.
We saved the best for last with an hour and a half stop to explore the wonderful La Jolla Cove as well as the exquisite shops and restaurants of downtown La Jolla. We head back to your hotel through Bird Rock and Pacific Beach before getting on the freeway to get back to your hotel.
