Discover the castle of Chillon, a large piece of Swiss historical heritage. Over the course of this 6-hour journey, you will visit Vevey and Montreux, two beautiful towns on the shores of the Geneva Lake. Enjoy a boat cruise and observation of the famous Freddie Mercury statue.Meet your guide, as well as your group, at the predetermined meeting point come 12:15pm. From there, you will begin your departure from Lausanne. Head to the beautiful town of Vevey by the Geneva Lake. Upon your arrival at 2:30pm, you will board the awaiting steamboat and cruise to the Castle of Chillon. Over centuries, the castle has been used as a prison, a residence, and in it's final active period, a depot for the French's weapons.
After your visit to the castle, board the bus and head to Montreux for a 4:00pm arrival. There, you will take an enjoy a leisurely walk around the town, home to a well-known jazz festival come summertime. While in Montreux, take the opportunity to observe the statue of Freddy Mercury that faces the lake near his home and recording studios. See the incredible views of the lake and vineyards of Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the end of your tour, return to your original departure point.
