The sacred city of the Itzáes marvels us every time the k’in Ahau (sun in the Mayan language) sets on March 21st and September 21st, during the spring and fall equinoxes.
See the Kukulkan Castle, known as The Pyramid and learn about the past, with the many sculptures and representations of feathered serpents and Chaac masks. You'll also see the ball game which represents the important ceremony established by the gods themselves, according to the sacred pages of Popol Vuj (the sacred book of Mayans). Then, head to see the Astronomical Observatory, also known as The Snail and the area of The Church.
Then, head to ‘The place of the wind’, Cenote Ik Kil. The longest path is runs 100 kilometers and reaches Yaxuna, another Mayan city.
