This charismatic full-day tour in Agra takes you to discover the glory of the Mughal Empire of India. You can see ancient architecture significant to India’s history, such as the world-famous Taj Mahal , the Agra Fort, a 16th-century Mughal monument and Fatehpur Sikri.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Agra by your private chauffeur at 6:00 am and proceed to the world-famous Taj Mahal for sunrise view.
Taj Mahal is considered a treasure house of Mughal architecture and also the UNESCO World Heritage-listed. Taj Mahal in the city of Agra is perhaps one of the most photographed monument in the world with a degree of enigma about the Taj. A dawn visit to the fabled Taj Mahal to witness the magical effects caused by the reflections of the changing colours of the rising sun on this brilliant white marble building.
After Taj Mahal go to the massive Agra Fort. The elegant buildings inside reflect an interesting synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles built by Emperor Akbar, the maze of the courtyards, mosques and private chambers of the fort echo the story of the Mughal Empire
Later on get a cab ride of approx. 1 hour from Agra and arrive at the Fatehpur Sikri. It is an abandoned capital of the Mughal’s that is a perfectly preserved city at the height of the empire’s splendor. The city divided into religious and secular parts has interesting well-sculpted buildings. From here we continue riding to Jaipur. You will be spending 1 hr 30 min here and later on we will drive to Abhaneri Step Well. Also called Chand Baori, Abhaneri Step Well was built during the 8th and 9th centuries and has 3,500 narrow steps arranged in perfect symmetry, which descend 20m to the bottom of the well. Centuries ago the stepwells were built in the arid zones of Rajasthan to provide water all year through. When the tour ends, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Jaipur. This tour ends in Jaipur.
