See the most visited place in Sedona on this 55-minute tour. Visit the Tlaquepaque Shopping Center. Experience breathtaking scenery of red rocks and desert vistas. Explore one of Sedona's earliest and best known man-made monuments.Commissioned by Sedona resident Marguerite Brunswig Staud in the 1940s as a place of worship and a testament to her Catholic faith, the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona was originally planned as a project for a Hungarian nunnery in Budapest. After the onset of WWII made it impossible to travel and construct the project, Staud decided to proceed with construction in her adopted city of Sedona where she placed the prominent landmark above the highway overseeing much of the surrounding countryside.
Your visit to this iconic monument will begin with an afternoon pickup from a central Sedona location near many downtown hotels and a prominent shopping district.
