Certain requirements and expectations from the riders are established and the tour departs up the mountain with the very experienced guide leading the way.
The first part of the ascent travels through private farm land where Merino sheep and cattle may be seen, the terrain gives way to a more rugged rock & tussock alpine environment as the tour climbs higher, stops are made frequently for photo opportunities and information about the farming, history and scenery. In winter most tours are riding through the snow as the quads reach the upper mountain levels!
