This winter tour allows you to see all of the major highlights of Goreme in one short winter's day.With short days and access to many of the tourist sites limited, this 6-hour tour ensures that you can still see all the highlights of Cappadocia and Goreme.
After departing Goreme, you will reach the Goreme Panorama, a great place to enjoy the view of the fairy chimneys and gain all of your information about the Cappadocia region. Afterward, travel south to the widest underground city in Cappadocia, situated in the town of Kaymakli. The Kaymakli underground city allows you to enjoy 4 of its marvelous levels with the usual churches, halls, stables and living quarters. (Your visit to the underground city may change due to weather and road conditions).
From here, you will then turn back toward Goreme, first stopping at Pigeon Valley panorama where you can look down the valley littered with pigeon houses. Also, should the group desire, you can stop off to see a great collectetion of Turkish onyx and gem stones including Zultanite.
After we enjoy lunch the tour takes a stop at Cavusin, this old village is home to St. John Church, built in the 5th century. You will also be able to walk through many abandoned cave homes and small churches. From here we visit Avanos, where you can try your hand at the ancient art of pottery, passed down from the Hittite Period.
We then follow the road to Monks Valley (Pasabag), where you can walk through the frozen vineyards surrounded my mushroom shaped fairy chimneys. Our last stop before being returned to your hotel is Imagination Valley (Devrent Valley) where you have the opportunity to photograph the rock formations in the shape of a camel and various other animals and characters.
