This tour of Cappadocia from Goreme covers a lot of ground in one day. This tour of Cappadocia from Goreme covers a lot of ground in one day. Next, visit is Pasabag, also called Monks Valley due to the unique formation of some the fairy chimneys. A chapel dedicated to St Simeon and caves where hermits lived are all carved into the chimneys in this area.
Proceed to Avanos, where you can experience the local life. Avanos is also famous for its handmade terracotta and ceramic art work. You will have the opportunity to see how the ceramics made. Lunch will be local Turkish food.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Goreme Open Air Museum to see the frescoes which tell stories of bible. The museum has sanctuaries, churches and monasteries from the early Christianity period. Then you will pay a visit to a panoramic viewpoint below the Uchisar Castle where you can see the castle and Goreme with all of its beautiful scenery.
