This tour takes you from Cape Town city centre up the West Coast to experience hour long guided tour of how the San Bushmen use to live and survive. Followed by drive through the West Coast National Park with their abundance of wildlife and birdlife as well as beautiful wild flowers during August to October. We step into the calm ocean at Kraalbaai before going for lunch at Geelbek restaurant where you will be served traditional Cape style cooking.
Lunch is followed by a short trip to quaint little town called Darling. Visit Darling Breweries to taste of some of the 12 craft beers they produce. This is followed by going to Groote Post Wine Estate where you will have the chance to taste 12, yes 12 of their delectable wines on offer. After a very relaxing and pleasureful day you will be taken back to your Cape Town hotel.

The beautiful coastal road takes us past Melkbosstrand from where you'll follow the R27 to !Khwa ttu.
Here you'll join the San (Bushmen) people at 10am for an hour long guided tour. It is a fascinating insight into their culture, heritage, knowledge, skills and contemporary way of life. Leave these friendly people behind and go to the West Coast National Park.
It’s focal point being the azure waters of the Langebaan Lagoon. As you take a slow drive through the park towards Kraalbaai you will see a variety of mammals. Eland, red hartebeest, Cape grysbok, caracal and rock hyrax are some of the terrestrial species to search for. There is also an abundance of bird life, specially wetland bird species. You can go for a stroll on the pristine beach at Kraalbaai, put your feet in the water and take some images your friends on social media will be envious of.
By now you would of worked up a healthy appetite for lunch and this will be served at the Geelbek restaurant inside the West Coast National Park. At this old Cape Dutch style building dating back to 1744, you will be served traditional Old Cape and West Coast-style dishes, ranging from Bobotie, Cape Malay Curries, Ostrich Burger, Snoektart, Mussels, Malva podding and much more.
After desert you'll get back into the air conditioned mini-bus and head for the quaint little village of Darling. Here you'll visit Darling Breweries for a taste of some of the 13 craft beers in their range. Darling Brew Tasteroom & Brewery offers an interactive and fascinating beer tasting experience in the tasting room and bar which overlooks the working microbrewery.
After a few beers you'll head for the Darling hills and visit Groote Post Wine Estate to sample some of their 13 wine varieties on offer. Yes, 13 beers and 13 wines to choose from. The winery is situated in a lovely green valley threaded by the Klawer River, a stream really, with Kikuyu lawns bordering on the werf, all watched over by the beautifully restored Cape Dutch Klawer Valley homestead and the imposing slave bell (depicted on the Groote Post wine labels).
After this informative tasting session, take a short ride back to Cape Town where you will be dropped off at your collection point.
*As an optional extra to the day tour we can stop off at the world renowned Blue Peter Hotel in Bloubergstrand for a sundowner and admire the most spectacular sunset over the ocean and with a stunning view of Table Mountain too.
