This scenic 9-hour guided tour combines Cape of Good Hope with the majestic Cape Winelands. Just the tour for those with limited time, as well as for those just wanting to kill two birds with one stone, and having more time to do other things.You'll be picked-up from your hotel in a minivan, then the eventful day kicks off with a scenic drive around the Atlantic Seaboard with its pristine white sandy beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay. The first stop at Maiden's Cove allows you the opportunity for capture photos of the Twelve Apostles and Table Mountain, with the beautiful Camps Bay beach in the foreground. The tour then goes toward the famous meandering Chapman's Peak Drive with its breathtaking cliff-tops. One of the country's most breathtaking view points "Chappies," as it is affectionately known, has been captured on many a camera.
A highly professional and friendly guide will take you through the holiday conservation villages of Misty Cliffs and Scarborough. Then on to Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope, the southwestern-most point of the African continent. You will get the opportunity to take a leisurely 15-minute walk to the Cape Point Lighthouse, so do bring along some comfortable shoes. There is also a funicular for those who don't feel like walking to the top. After taking in the fresh air at the edge of the earth, its off toward the Penguins at Boulders Beach (optional). Lunch can be enjoyed at Simon's Town, home of the SA Naval Base, at your own expense.
After lunch the tour takes you all along the False Bay Coastline toward the lush Stellenbosch Winelands and countryside. Surrounded by huge mountain ranges, you'll enjoy a wine-tasting experience at one of the top wine estates in the region. As an alternative to wine-tasting, the tour also offers a shopping experience in the historic town of Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, and a vibrant university town. The tour tops-off with a scenic drive through several vineyards en route back to Cape Town.
