The journey to Cape Domett in your fixed-wing aircraft follows the lower Ord River and the delta wetland to the Cambridge Gulf and its mangrove fringed tidal mudflats.
Descend low at Cape Domett, looking for the tell-tale signs of overnight nesting egg-laying activity, and viewing the weathered and sculptured rock formations leaping from the azure blue waters. A little further on, touchdown on a 3-kilometer beach for a 2-hour stopover and exploration of the sandy shoreline and rocky headlands.
Be served tea or coffee and light snacks on the beach, or pop a bottle of bubbly if you prefer. Return to Kununurra via the Carlton Hill Station and homestead and the Ord Stage 1 and 2 Irrigation area. This tour is only available during Low Tide at Cape Domett.
