Discover one of the most interesting attractions in Cancun, Museo Maya de Cancun (Maya Culture Museum) and also visit the Mayan Ruins “El Rey”. This museum is the most important new museum built by the National Institute of Anthropology and History in the Yucatan Peninsula. You'll enjoy the spectacular view of the beautiful colors of the Caribbean and the great archaeological site “El Rey”.Your tour begins with hotel pickup in the Riviera Maya or Cancun at 8:30am. Board an air-conditioned vehicle and head on a tour that allows you to know and love two main attractions in Cancun. You will arrive at your first stop, the Mirador, at 9:30am. This viewpoint is located in Playa Delfines in the Cancun hotel zone and offers majestic views of the Caribbean Sea and Nichupte Lagoon.
Your tour then continues to the archaeoligical site "El Rey Ruins" which consists of forty seven structures that had religious and civil functions and that are currently uncrowded. Finally, you'll head to the most important new museum in the Yucatan Peninsula: The Maya Culture Museum, which exhibits one of the most significant archaeological collections of culture of the country. You will get to admire the relevant parts of the State of Quintana Roo and also a selection of iconic pieces of the sites of Palenque, Chichen Itza, and Comalcalco. The visit to the museum also includes access to the archaeological site of San Miguelito.
The stay at the museum is 2.5 hours and then you'll visit Plaza Forum by The Sea in Punta Cancun so you can browse the shops and purchase silver, handcrafts and clothing if you'd like. You'll enjoy lunch here (only included in tour from Riviera Maya) and, after a 1.5-hour visit, you'll head back to your hotel.
