You will start off your day meeting your chauffeur/guide (your beer buddy for the day) at the base of the historic Calgary Tower in the downtown core. After some "informal" introductions and instructions, you will be whisked away to your first brewery tour - Village Brewery. Enjoy a tasting and tour as Village Brewery shares their craft success story which is intimately tied to the arts and community.
Then it is time for lunch at the Craft Beer Market, which offers over 120 taps representing local and international craft beers alike. It's a unique set up and keg room ensures the brew they serve you is as fresh as the locally grown food that you will enjoy with your meal.
After lunch, travel across the city to experience Calgary's first nano brewery, Dandy Brewing Company. These guys know how to work in a tight budget with their creative ideas on how to use alternative brewing equipment to produce some amazing and unique brew. You may just be tempted to set up your own home brew system in your backyard.
The next stop is Tool Shed Brewing Company, who actually started building their passion of brewing in their Tool Shed. Listen to amazing stories, challenging obstacles, influencers to changing liquor laws and passion to spare. These guys have all of the qualities to make a great Spanish soap opera.
Last but not least, your final stop is the Last Best Brewing and Distilling. A brew pub by trade, their success has grown throughout Alberta to three other cities. Enjoy a sample palette that will leave your taste buds wanting more with some great suggestions on food pairings. While you are here, why not get a shave or haircut in the brewery's barber shop parlor downstairs?
On this tour, you will also receive bottled water and a snack, and a tote bag stocked with goodies and coupons. The breweries all provide collectible beer labels, a souvenir pint glass from Village Brewery and merchandise discounts on all drinkable and non-drinkable products, such as t-shirts, hats and nick knacks.
