Day 1: Arrival to Bucharest
Car transfer to the hotel.
Accommodation: 3 star hotel
Day 2: Vlad the Impaler in Bucharest
The tour starts in the capital where more than half a millennium ago, Vlad the Impaler built his residence known today as the Old Court. We also visit the Monastery of Comana founded by the prince back in 1461. Optional visit at the monumental Palace of the Parliament.

Day 3: The truth behind the myth
We head to Targoviste to visit the Princely Court fortified by Vlad the Impaler. Afterwards, we head to Poenari, the real fortress of Dracula.
Optional visits to one of the most beautiful medieval monasteries in Romania, Curtea de Arges, and Lake Vidraru.
Transportation: Car. Accommodation: Local guest house in Arefu. Breakfast included.
Day 4: Up to Transylvania
We head on scenic mountain roads towards Sighisoara, the birth place of Vlad the Impaler, also an UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe.

Day 5: The birth place of Vlad the Impaler
We spend the day discovering medieval Sighisoara, including the house where Vlad the Impaler was born centuries ago, now transformed into a museum.
Optional tours to the nearby medieval fortified churches of Biertan and Saschiz, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Day 6: The myth of Dracula
We leave Sighisoara early morning and travel through scenic forest roads towards the medieval Bran Castle that so many relate to the legend of Dracula. We’ll uncover together the truth behind the myth, but not before we visit one of the largest fortresses of Transylvania, Rupea, located on our route towards Bran.

Day 7: Back to Bucharest
On our way to Bucharest we visit the 13th century fortress of Rasnov and the royal Peles castle, one of the most beautiful in Europe. We also stop to visit the medieval Monastery of Snagov where Vlad the Impaler was supposedly buried.

Day 8: Departure/Optional tour of Bucharest
Transfer to the airport by car or optional tour of Bucharest if you can stay another day.
