A heaven for wine lovers: situated just south of Siena lies the land of some of the best Italian wines: Brunello di Montalcino and Nobile di Montepulciano. Based on the clones of Sangiovese, some of the most collectible and popular wines in all of Italy are produced here.
Most of the tour takes place in the scenic views of the rolling hills of Val d’Orcia: a natural World Heritage Site protected by Unesco. Meet the producers and enjoy their wines. We will reach Montalcino from Florence crossing the Tuscan countryside; after visiting the town of Montalcino, we will reach a local farm for a private lunch with wine pairing of Brunello wines. Brunello is wine hunted by wine collectors from all over the world, requires a minimum five years of aging to be classified as Brunello di Montalcino.

After lunch, we will head to Montepulciano, the homeland of another great wine: the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The drive will cross the Val d’Orcia, one of most enchanting Italian countryside scenery, protected by Unesco as a World Heritage Site. Montepulciano has a long history dating back to the Etruscan times, reaching its peak of importance in the 14th century as a strategic Florentine stronghold in the Senese territory. Here you will have time for a walk in these beautiful medieval streets, often chosen as location for movies. After the visit of the town the tour will continue with a Vino Nobile wine tasting by a selected producer; this will be the last stop before driving back to Florence.
