Most of the tour takes place in the scenic views of the rolling hills of Val d’Orcia: a natural World Heritage Site protected by Unesco. Meet the producers and enjoy their wines.We will reach Montalcino from Florence crossing the Tuscan countryside; after visiting the town of Montalcino, we will reach a local farm for a private lunch with wine pairing of Brunello wines. Brunello is wine hunted by wine collectors from all over the world, requires a minimum five years of aging to be classified as Brunello di Montalcino.
After lunch, we will head to Montepulciano, the homeland of another great wine: the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The drive will cross the Val d’Orcia, one of most enchanting Italian countryside scenery, protected by Unesco as a World Heritage Site. Montepulciano has a long history dating back to the Etruscan times, reaching its peak of importance in the 14th century as a strategic Florentine stronghold in the Senese territory. Here you will have time for a walk in these beautiful medieval streets, often chosen as location for movies. After the visit of the town the tour will continue with a Vino Nobile wine tasting by a selected producer; this will be the last stop before driving back to Florence.
