Brera is one of the most loved quarters of Milan: discover it with us and enjoy with our famous "Aperitivo"Brera is one of the most loved quarters of Milan: the artists' quarter. Here you will stroll across smaller streets, unique and suggestive alleys that tell the history of Milan from '700 onwards, in a very suggestive atmosphere.
The area is called so by tracing the name of Via Brera. The name comes from "Braida": natural state grounds, kitchen garden. From this word also comes "braidense", associated to the eponymous library, located in the Pinacoteca.
The artists that since the nineteenth century have gravitated around the Academy of Fine Arts have turned the district into one of Milan's most characteristic.
During the tour we will stop in San Marco area, where in addition to satisfy your sense of taste, we will tell you how the area appeared when still the canals flowed. Through old photographs we will go back in time to enjoy the atmosphere that reigned until the last century in one of the most interesting areas of our city which still contains some of its charm combined with flavors and tastes offered by local renowned food store and bars.
