Enjoy Royal Deeside and Braemar Castle Day Tour from Aberdeen, with a visit to Lochnagar whisky Distillery.From Aberdeen we travel West following the River Dee. See and hear about this historic Glen and enjoy a visit to Braemar, Braemar Castle and Lochnagar Whisky Distillery.
Our tour starts from Aberdeen Visitor Information Centre.
We travel through Aberdeen's West end seeing the grand granite houses then along the North Deeside Road. We cross over the river Dee to the Bridge of Feugh waterfall to see if we can catch a glimpse of the salmon jumping up the falls. We then continue travelling through town up Deeside Banchory, Aboyne and Ballater.
Heading deeper up Deeside we Stop at Crathie Kirk (£1 donation please). This Church has been used by the Royal family for worship since Queen Victoria and Prince Albert discovered and bought Balmoral Castle & Estate.
Enjoy a visit of Braemar Castle (entry fee required). There is also time for a tour of Braemar Castle. After our visit of Braemar Castle we will have a Lunch Stop at Braemar Village. We will then visit Lochnagar Distillery (entry fee required), for a tour of the distillery and a “wee dram”(shot of Whisky)
We then return to Aberdeen Visitor, Inverurie & Huntly Information Centre.
