Students have always been a central and important presence in the city, that's why in tour a visit to the famous and great Anatomical Theatre is included: located in an elegant 16th-century building, the Archiginnasio was built as the first "single" seat of the University of Bologna, Europe's oldest University. On the first floor we find the awesome Anatomical Theatre where corpses were sawn up during medicine and anatomy lessons.
