An itinerary to discover the Gardens designed for Cosimo I de Medici in 1562 which became a model for the European royal gardens. On our 1.30 hour walking guided tour path we will meet stories and myths of gods and heroes, imagined and represented by artists of many periods, from ancient roman to contemporary. Among these are the sculptures of Hercules, of Demeter and the spartan king Tyndareus, the Fountains of the Artichoke and of Neptune, the Secret Garden and the Tunnel of Love.
In the purest italian style, the gardens consist of several kilometers of rich vegetation and great fountains. We will go to the top of the gardens where it is possible to admire a spectacular panoramic view of the city of Florence.
