Meet your guide at the Vineyard.
Your green guru will just be finishing polishing off your bikes as you arrive at the Kingston Family Vineyard. We will spend some time getting to know each other and the bikes. Once you are kitted out with helmets and water we begin our peddling through Casablanca.
At 11am, weave between the vines and take in the views with us. You will begin to hear about the Kingston Family background that was purchased by John Kingston nearly 100 years ago. It may surprise you that the family purchased the land in an attempt to discover gold. This mission was a complete failure… Almost when all hope was lost they really hit gold when they planted their first grapes. At the time they weren't to know the future success of this. They made some of Chile's finest Pinot Noir, because of their terror and because the Kingston vineyard sits in the most bio-diverse areas of Casablanca.
Thirsty already? Our guide sneaks a bottle of crisp Sauvignon Blanc wine out for the 8-10 km ride. We will enjoy it in a shaded cove among the native vegetation of the valley. We will learn how to smell, taste, and enjoy the wine!
Courtyard Views.
12:30pm and it is time to dismount our bikes to discover the other side of the wine-making process. We are invited into the Kingston Family’s modern and innovative cellars to learn about their unique wine making process. And for the grand finale we head out to the courtyard together for… yes you guessed it, more wine! Taste the vineyards red wines while overlooking the vineyard and the valley as a whole. A super insightful and delicious morning will be had with 4 wine tastings. Ask any questions and we’ll do a super job at answering them (especially if they are about wine)
Discover the Valley
1:30pm: The tour ends just in time for you to discover the rest of the wine valley. Our guide will give you suggestions for local lunch ideas in the pueblo de Casablanca or luxury options as neighboring vineyards. Tired and want a siesta back at your hotel? We can call a taxi so you can head back to Valparaiso or so show you how to catch a bus to Santiago. But first hit the wine shop to take some presents back home… or just to drink!
