Guests will first picked up from their hotel or ship by bus or car between 8-8:30am. Then, the group will be driven through the country's backroads to a cultural park where guests can engage in cultural traditions. At Fond Latisab, guests will be able to participate in the preparation of cassava bread, cooking on macambou leaves and the very authentic display of wood-sawing while Chak Chak bands play in the background. The drive to the park includes sightseeing of ruins and an old military fort from the late 19th century, which had been converted into a community college and is also where the tomb of one of the country's Nobel Laureates, Sir William Arthur Lewis, is located.
Next, it's time to head to the cultural dance. Guests will go back to the beginning to eat the cassava that they made with local juice. The last stop on this tour is to central Castries, where guests can shop duty free and purchase local crafts at one of the oldest markets on the island. At the end of the day, guests are taken back to their hotel or cruise port.
