Admire the depictions of Portugal’s “Age of Discoveries,” before looking at the 16th-century fortifications of the Torre Belém, part of a defensive system that protected Lisbon from pirates.
Enjoy a quite coffee break away from the tourist traps, before cycling to the 16th-century Monastery of Saint Jerome, one of the finest example of Manueline style architecture in the city. There will be the chance to taste one of the famous Belém custard tartlets in the magnificent gardens, before it’s time to cycle back to the meeting point.
