Visit the Beijing Zoo, home to around 450 different species and has a population of some 5,000 animals. See as the giant pandas, golden monkeys, milu deer and northeast tigers. Go inside the hall that replicates the style of traditional Chinese gardens, in the pattern of a Tai Chi diagram.
Travel north to the Great Wall. Drive along a scenic route to the Great Wall, including Juyongguan Pass. See the statue of Li Zicheng, who led the Peasant Uprising of 1644, along the way. Climb on the Great Wall, escorted by your guide. Find a quiet place with shade for a picnic lunch. Take a leisure walk along the Wall after lunch. Enjoy flying kite with you kids (subject to weather).
