Enjoy a typical lunch as your English-speaking guide teaches you about the history and dynamics of Beijing.Begin the day with a pickup from your downtown Beijing hotel between 7:30-8:30am by air-conditioned coach. After meeting your guide and driver, make your journey to Hutong. There, you will take a rickshaw to visit the ancient Hutong, Drum Tower, and Shicha Lake. At each location, your guide will take time to give you information on the historic backgrounds. Spend time with a local family while there as well to learn of the authentic culture and enjoy a traditional lunch.
Once you have finished lunch, continue the tour and pay a visit to the Lama Temple. Yonghe Lamasery is considered as the largest and most perfectly preserved lamasery in present day China. Next, see pandas in the Beijing Zoo, a site comprised of 16 different exhibition areas and halls. The most popular of all of the halls is the Panda area. Afterwards, head for the Olympic Green and take external pictures of the Water Cube and Bird's Next. Conclude the tour with a visit to the Ceramics and Pearl Shop before returning to your hotel.
