What is covered in this course:
PREREQUISITE: Prior roped-climbing experience. You must already know how tie-in to a rope and how to belay on top-rope setting.
- How to escape belay
- How to rescue and ascend to aid an injured or fallen climber using an auto-locking device (ie. Gri-Gri) as well as lowering both of you to the ground
- Friction hitches for slings and cord
- Fope ascension
- Backing up rappels with an auto-block knot
- Bowering system with a re-directed auto-locking device
- Bowering system with a Munter hitch backed-up with an Buto-block knot
- The tandem rappel system
- Basic 3 to 1 āZā raising system with an auto-locking device
