Venice Music Project is happy to welcome you its fourth concert season! This is an association which, other than share a joy of music-making on an internationally acclaimed level, also takes pleasure in showing solidarity, committing to protecting and restoring Venetian treasures of inestimable value, so that they can continue to be admired and studied by our generation and by the generations to come.

The resident orchestra, Venetia Antiqua, will also host prestigious ensembles from around the world. You will really believe you have traveled into the Golden Age of the Serenissima, when the music of Vivaldi, Marcello, and Galuppi was the pop music of the time, composed for parties and festive occasions and played everywhere. Our musicians have dedicated themselves to extensive study, and perform on period instruments with performance practices of the time -- but that doesn't mean we aren't having a rocking good time! You will be dancing in your seats, crying with our soprano as she laments her lost love, and end up falling in love with this passionate, frivolous, joyous music making.

Concert Schedule:
July 1, 3 - Vivaldi, Vivaldi, Vivaldi!!
July 8, 10 - Sanguigno e malinconico: Guest ensemble L'Opera Stravagante
Every Friday and Sunday in September and October: Baroque music (excluding October 7 and 9, as there will be a Special Program).

An important part of the orchestra's mandate is the restoration of the places where they perform and the works of art that they contain, to help the city to remain alive for our own and future generations.

Please note: concert repertoire is subject to change.
