View the enormous sitting Buddha at Wat Kalayanamitr, situated on the riverfront in Thonburi.
Your next stop is the old Portuguese settlement of Santa Cruz with its ornate, Italian-style Catholic church. Step inside a family-owned bakery here and bite into a Portuguese cupcake accompanied by a cup of coffee and some history shared by your guide. Cycling on, you’ll come to Masjid Bang Luang, the oldest standing mosque in Bangkok, built in the style of a Thai temple. Then pass by Wat Hong Rattanarama en route to Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), lit up on the riverbank opposite the Grand Palace.
Next, enjoy a specially prepared traditional Thai family dinner at a local home. After dessert, chat with your hosts before departing for a flower market and your last stop: the illuminated Wat Pho, or Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Stroll the serene grounds of the temple and admire the stupas bathed in moonlight before your bike tour ends back at the starting point.
