As you journey upstream, your local guide will entertain you with stories of the past, history of canoeing and interesting local facts. Every tour includes life jackets and paddles plus instruction on how to paddle as a team.Your canoe tour will start at the Banff Canoe Club, just a 5 minute walk from Downtown Banff. Upon arrival, meet your personable guide for the tour. After checking in, the guide will set you up with a life jacket and paddle before talking you through some dryland safety instruction and paddling techniques.
From the shore, learn about the history of the Bow River and some of the wildlife that are present in the area. Your guide will then load you into a 12-seater Voyageur Canoe for approximately 1 hour of river time. Your tour will be followed by a light refreshment at the end.
The Voyageur Canoe Tour is perfect for the whole family and no paddling experience is necessary. It’s a fun and interactive way to explore the waterways of Banff National Park.
