This diverse tour goes from the majestic Pico do Arieiro (1818 mts) to the heart of Santo da Serra, including the levada walk “Balcões” at Ribeiro Frio, dominated by the Laurissilva forest.
Departing from Funchal we drive to a spectacular viewpoint where we can enjoy a beautiful view of Funchal’s Bay. Then, we continue our off road drive to Pico do Arieiro (1818 mts), where we can delight ourselves with stunning landscapes. Our next stop is at Ribeiro Frio, where the short and easy “Balcões” Levada Walk starts (45 min +/-).
Afterwards we drive to Santo da Serra, well known by its romantic scenario, where we will have a typical Madeiran lunch (not included).
After lunch we will drive to Santa Cruz, a quiet and beautiful village by the sea. Finally we will go to Cristo Rei viewpoint in Garajau, which was inaugurated in 1927. From there, we have an excellent panoramic view over the ocean, the Natural Reserve of Garajau, Caniço and Funchal’s Bay.
