Discover the amazing city of Bagan and its temples on this day trip which includes Shwesadaw Pagoda and Shwezigo Pagoda. Explore a mystery colony and observe bats at Nyaung Hla Village then watch star tortoise, one of the rare species in Myanmar and Golden deer at Lawkananda Wildlife Sanctuary. Lastly, we visit Lawkananda Pagoda with amazing river view and see the sun setting before transfer you back to your hotel. Our professional English speaking guide will collect you from your hotel in Bagan around 8:30am and head to Shwesandaw Pagoda. Shewsandaw means golden holy hair and is a graceful white pyramid-style pagoda. This is the most popular sunrise and sunset viewing site in Bagan with good 360-degree views over the temples and the river.

Next, we visit Shwezigon Pagoda, a circular pagoda fully covered with gold leaf coating. We walk around the outside of this bell shaped pagoda and take some beautiful photos. A delicious lunch will be served at local restaurant with Myanmar cuisine to get some different taste.

After lunch, we proceed to Nyaung Hla Village, (around 30 minute drive), which is the roost location for the giant flying fox (Pteropus giganteus). We will explore this spectacular colony (the river and bat colony) and there are more bats in the rainy season. We observe these bats but please do not disturb them by clapping or making loud noise. They are a natural treasure of the village.

From the village, we will return to Bagan and visit Lawkananda Wildlife Sanctuary, an oasis of tropical Bagan. It's also a good place to study Myanmar star tortoises, one of the rare species, Myanmar Golden deer, tropical plants and animals.

After our park visit, we will take a walk to nearby Lawkananda pagoda. It is located on the bank of Ayeyarwaddy which was built by King Anawrahta in AD 1059. The sunset across the river and gilded stupa will create a marvelous picture. Our driver will transfer you back to your hotel safely after a wonderful experience.
