Winding your way out through the suburbs you will soon find yourself cycling in the outskirts of Bangkok where tall buildings are replaced by small wooden houses, roads become narrow concrete paths or dirt tracks and the crowds of people are replaced by the quiet of vegetation and trees.
Once on the outskirts of Bangkok there are few cars but many locals happy to see visitors cycling in their neighborhood. Enjoy a break for lunch at a delicious local eatery.
You will have a chance to stop at a few temples of historic importance including Wat Chaloh and Wat Kaew Fah. You will also pedal through areas with some agriculture - plant nurseries and orchards mostly. While this tour does not quite reach to the countryside, there is still a countryside feel in some sections.
Expect to ride 23 miles (37 km) in total; the mostly flat terrain consists of the smaller streets of central Bangkok, raised footpaths in communities along the canals and dirt roads in the lush farmland.
