Baanchang Elephant Park is dedicated to providing elephants with the highest quality-of-life possible. This unique tour provides a wonderful introduction to Asian elephants by allowing you to engage in the hands-on experience of taking care of an elephant.
"The Magical Elephant Mahout Training" is a special program created for visitors to learn how to interact with elephants the way the Mahouts (the elephants’ caretakers) do daily. You will learn about the behaviors and lifestyle of these elephants and how to interact and bathe them as a Mahout would. You will also be able to ride bareback through the hill around our park.
You have a choice of pick up times of 6:00am returning at 2:30pm or 8:30am and returning at 4:30pm. We can pick you up from our office, city hotel or any central accommodation.
We will drive through the agricultural Thai countryside North of Chiang Mai for 50 minutes to Baanchang Elephant Park. Upon arrival, the Elephant Mahout Guide will give you information about our Elephants and your day will include the following activities;
Change into Mahout Clothes
Start the Introduction to Thai Elephant, You have a choice of pick up times of 6:00am returning at 2:30pm or 8:30am and returning at 4:30pm. We can pick you up from our office, city hotel or any central accommodation.
We will drive through the agricultural Thai countryside North of Chiang Mai for 50 minutes to Baanchang Elephant Park. Upon arrival, the Elephant Mahout Guide will give you information about our Elephants and your day will include the following activities;
Change into Mahout Clothes
Start the Introduction to Thai Elephant, lifestyle and behavior of Thai elephants
Feed elephants with banana and sugar cane
Learning the basic commands for elephants
Train to ride on elephants using many different techniques with spoken commands for the elephant
Lunch
Start to ride (Bare back) and control elephant through the hill around our park
Enjoy bathing and brushing your elephantlifestyle and behavior of Thai elephants
