Four fantastic anytime activities to be enjoyed while riding bikes around Austin. After meeting your guide in the late afternoon and receiving your biking gear, set out on an 11 mile stretch to enjoy the city of Austin, local-style. Begin by cruising down into South Austin from Butler Park. Cruise up a few hills and then swing around through Barton Hills for a swim the Barton Spring Pool ($3 for residents, $8 non-residents, closed Thursday).
This pool is considered by some to be the crown jewel of Austin. It's spring fed and cooled to 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius) year round and there's a bath house for changing.
Afterward, stop for a fresh brewed craft beer and BBQ at a great spot near the springs (at own expense). Once you're done eating, hit the trails and the bike promenade back downtown to historic 6th Street where a craft beer pub-n-grub with a nice patio awaits (at own expense). Then, it's back to the lake to finish.
