Enjoy an amazing day on a magical tropical Island. Atauro is a small island situated 25 kilometers north of Dili. It is roughly 105 square kilometers in area, and is inhabited by around 11,000 people. Atauro Island is nestled deep in the heart of the Coral Triangle, home to some of the most diverse and abundant marine life anywhere on earth. The region boasts some truly spectacular scenery from the rugged coastline and pristine water surrounds to the Manucoco Mountain. You will experience excellent conditions for all of your marine based activities and day tours.
You will travel through the Wetar Straight well known for dolphin and whale activities, you have an 80% chance of seeing them. Once you arrive on the island you will travel by local ojek to the town center where you will visit the women’s co-operatives. The afternoon is spent relaxing or adventuring. You can go snorkeling along the coral walls and might see schools of snapper, sweet lips and turtles. The coral walls are covered with abundant life and table corals as big as cars.
