From there we walk to Lake Askja and Víti, an explosion crater formed in 1875. The hike to Askja Caldera is around 30 minutes easy walk each way. In 2014 Holuhraun lava fields were formed in a massive eruption in central Iceland and this tour takes us also the the sight near Vatnajökull Glacier, the biggest glacier in Europe.
