Enjoy a mountain bike adventure from Santiago at Embalse El Yeso as you ride to ride through the heart of the Andes. You will be surrounded by lakes, glaciers and unique landscapes, to make of this a truly unforgettable experience. Your tour includes equipment and transportation.
Your adventure begins at your hotel as you are picked up at around 9:30am. You will board a vehicle and head on a journey to the end of the Cajon del Maipo. We'll pass the town of San Gabriel and reach El Yeso Reservoir (Embalse El Yeso) where the guide will provide a technical briefing and you will take your bike and start a 4.5-mile (7.3 km) ride of the place.
You will tour the edge of the reservoir and through the journey go on a slightly downhill slope, so it won't take you more than one hour to do this portion of the adventure. Once you reach the end of the reservoir, you will enjoy a picnic while admiring the best views that this turquoise lake can give. After lunch, you and your group will climb back on your bikes and tour the way back to the car (4.5 miles).
Once in the car, you will have a choice to head by bike on a 25 km descent or, if you do not want to continue the descent, your guide will pick you up in the car to accompany the rest of the group.
After the descent, you'll return the bicycles and head back to your hotel at sunset.
