Now is your chance to join the adventure and circle the island of O’ahu in search of ancient secrets. Your guide will give you a complimentary copy of Circle Island Tour in 24: Guide to Ancient Oahu and lead you on your journey. You will visit a plethora of ancient sites to include: heiau’s (Hawaiian temples), ancient fishponds, petroglyphs, rock formations, and much more. This exciting adventure is a fun way to learn about Hawaiian history and visit a few lesser known locations on O’ahu.
Pickup location is in Waikiki. You will circle the island in a 4 door Jeep Wrangler. Each member of the party will receive their own guide book entitled, Circle Island Tour in 24: Guide to Ancient O'ahu. You will first stop at the Ali'iolani Hale and visit a few locations in the Honolulu Historical District including the magnificent statue of Kamehameha the Great and visit the only royal palace on American soil. Then, your group will drive to a lookout and soak in views of the city and the surrounding area and learn about some aspects of O'ahu's past. After, you will drive around the beautiful and scenic southeast corner of O'ahu and stop at numerous lookouts and ancient sites, which include petroglyphs and ancient Hawaiian temples.
After your group breaks for a no-host lunch, you will take a short easy hike to some ancient petroglyphs in the back of Moanalua valley and then head towards O'ahu's north shore stopping at many sites along the way. You will continue to visit ancient sites and then end the tour in the heart of O'ahu at a place where women gave birth to future leaders. This is a fun, interactive, family friendly tour. The guidebook contains many fun activities that you may participate in as we circle the island. Your guide will share his knowledge and give you an insight into Hawaii's intriguing past on this tour of ancient O'ahu.
