Every October, for nine days, over 800 balloons fill the sky during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta®. In fact, the founder of World Balloon, Sid Cutter, was also the founder of the Fiesta!

With all of the ballooning activity in Albuquerque, you have several balloon ride companies to choose from. You should go with whichever company makes you feel most at ease. Our perfect safety record should put you at ease.We fly most days at sunrise, weather permitting. We begin by meeting you at our launch site, which is right on the west side of the Rio Grande River. Once at the launch site, we will inflate the balloon and fly for about an hour down the river valley here in Albuquerque. During the flight, depending upon the direction of the winds on flight day, you will have great views of the Sandia Mountains to the east, Petroglyph national monument to the west, the volcano’s that surround the town, and mount Taylor off in the distance. We have a chase crew that follows us during the flight and will meet us shortly after landing. After we pack the equipment, we will return to our launch site or a nearby park for a champagne ceremony and a light snack. We always have non-alcoholic alternatives available as well. Each person that flew will receive a commemorative flight certificate to celebrate their adventure.
